DROVIGO, a pioneer in PCR testing for its employees
Drogas Vigo has become one of the first companies in Vigo to check its workers to ensure that they are free of coronavirus, with negative results in 100% of the workforce.
These tests have been carried out by the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital, which in recent days has performed 6,095 PCR tests on workers in the Vigo automotive sector to ensure that their companies are free of coronavirus.
Of these 6,095 samples, 1,000 have been taken from workers at the PSA factory and the rest from other companies belonging to the Automotive Cluster (Ceaga), including GKN, Cie Galfor SAU and Drogas Vigo, all of which have given negative results for coronavirus.
These tests have been carried out using robots designed in the Vigo health area that work by grouping PCR tests, with a capacity for the analysis of 7,200 samples per day. The tests will continue to be carried out on companies in the different sectors of the industrial fabric of Vigo to guarantee the total absence of the virus when the workers return from their holidays.
